Why am I taking fertility medicines?

Different medicines do different jobs. Some help eggs grow. Others prevent early ovulation or prepare the uterus.

What you should know

Your plan may include tablets, shots, or hormones given in another way. The name, dose, time, and route all matter. Your team may adjust a dose after blood tests or scans. Keep a current list and check labels before each dose.

What to ask your care team

“What does each medicine do, and exactly when should I take it?”

One important reminder

Do not stop, double, or change a dose without direct instructions.

Before your next visit

Write down your questions. Bring your medicine list and any test results you have. Ask for a plan in writing. If an answer is not clear, ask your team to explain it in a different way.
