How much does IVF cost?

The total price can include more than the main IVF fee. Ask for a written, item-by-item estimate.

What you should know

Costs may include visits, scans, blood tests, medicines, anesthesia, retrieval, lab work, embryo freezing, storage, genetic testing, and later transfers. Insurance rules and coverage vary. Ask what happens to the bill if the cycle is canceled.

What to ask your care team

“Which fees are not included, and what would a second cycle cost?”

One important reminder

Do not assume an advertised price covers all services.

Before your next visit

Write down your questions. Bring your medicine list and any test results you have. Ask for a plan in writing. If an answer is not clear, ask your team to explain it in a different way.
