Should I try another IVF cycle?

There is no one right answer. Consider the chance of benefit along with cost, time, health, and how you feel.

What you should know

Review the last cycle step by step: eggs collected, fertilization, embryo growth, and transfer results. Ask whether a change has evidence of benefit for your situation. You may choose to try again, pause, seek another opinion, or stop.

What to ask your care team

“What is my estimated chance of live birth if I try again, and what would change?”

One important reminder

A prior failed cycle does not tell you for certain what will happen next.

Before your next visit

Write down your questions. Bring your medicine list and any test results you have. Ask for a plan in writing. If an answer is not clear, ask your team to explain it in a different way.
